Cutting, cutting, cutting...When will it end??

I am currently cutting blocks for a quilt and am thinking of using this fabric as the backing for a lap quilt.

Crafty Bracers to protect my arms from unwanted slices from seam rippers...

I recently sliced myself open with a large seam ripper whilst dismantling a pair of jeans. So, I decided I needed to make these for myself to shield against further instances.

Denim, Denim, Everywhere!!!

Today I've been cutting blocks from denim jeans. I've already cut almost 20 today, to add to the 12 or so that were already cut.

I also made a quick trip to Porterville for a short visit with a friend I haven't seen since 2007, and I delivered to him a bowl I made in Pottery in 2006.

I plan on working on Tal's quilt tonight.

Yesterday of Yesteryear...

Across the whole span of yesterday, I managed to put some of my fabric back on a shelf, finish the girl doll quilt top, made Adam's dicebag, and cut out most of my shirts I had set aside for a t-shirt quilt...

I also cleaned up the living room & vacuumed.

Getting along...

This past week, Nato, the kids, and I made several trips to the Valley Oak SPCA. The 1st & 2nd were to drop off a stray momma cat & her 6 kittens, while there we looked at the adoptable adult cats they had there.

We were smitten with a 2-year old male tabby. His name was Tuff.

I went back the next day& adopted him.

He is getting fixed on Monday morning, then I'll be picking him up in the afternoon!!

I'm SO excited!!

Today is the first Wednesday Sew-In!!

I'm hoping to get 4 potholders finished, and a doll quilt top finished and maybe get it sandwiched.
