A quilting we will go...

Over the last few days, I've really taken to HTSs! I've already made 11 blocks for Nick's quilt, which will be all dark colors.. There are 32 pieced blocks in this quilt. 20 of them are diamonds. 12 are hourglasses.
I have made 7 hourglass and 4 diamond blocks so far...so, we're getting there.

I've also finished 2 blocks for QA (Quilters Anonymous....Cari changed it to be spelled the way she meant it in the first place.

I'm really looking forward to how Nick's quilt is going to look, and how our 3 Anonymous' will turn out!

Round Robin run around...

A couple of weeks ago, I joined modernroots.com.

There, I met two awesome women, Cari & Dee. We've been talking about different quilting methods & different kinds of quilt blocks. We were all trying to figure out an easier way to communicate between the 3 of us w/o anyone being left out.

We are all on Facebook, so Cari made the group "Quilter's Anonymous". She had meant it to be "Quilters Anonymous". The three of us are members.

So, Dee jokingly suggested that "we all make a quilt named 'Anonymous' and then we'll look really cool instead of not quite literate".

I took her seriously and asked her what size blocks we were making...and it quickly escalated from there!

So, we are making a wall hanging/small quilt (each member can choose for herself) measuring 36" x 48".

We were thinking theme color green, doesn’t have to be all green, just some green in each block.

Finished block to be 12”…so cut at 12.5”. 3 blocks wide and 4 blocks down.

We each make 12 blocks that are of our choosing, each of us makes a different type of block than the other 2 members, but we don’t share our choice.
Then we keep 4, and mail 4 each to the other 2 members. We will find out what they are when they are mailed to us.

Then we assemble how we please, back & binding of our choice. Then e-mail pics of our finished project to each other.

It is gonna be AWESOME!!!

Finding time, & keeping busy...

Between yesterday & today, I have sewn 2 more strips of patches for Meme's quilt, sewn those 2 strips onto another one I had already finished, and then sewed the set of 3 strips to the quilt top I have so far...

Here is what it looks like, before these last 2 days work.
It now has 3 more rows of patches.

I have officially started planning for my nephew Nick's quilt that I'm making him for his 12th birthday.

Finally! Getting there!!

I have finally been able to get some work done!!

A few days ago, I finished Allissa's quilt top.

I will post pics after I get my mom-in-law's camera back from her.

Ummm...Oh, I also got 2 more 5" blocks done...now, just to find the 1st stack of that size block I already made...

Trying to keep up with EVERYTHING just puts you behind...

Since my last post, Kim has had me fix a pair of Butch's pajamas, and I made Tobi a pillow for his b-day & quilted it.

At 7:49pm on April 20th, I had our daughter, Allissa.

Taking care of 2 babies and sewing/quilting aren't necessarily able to coincide all the time, but I am hoping to get some blocks made soon...
