Accepting Donations in lieu of presents!!

My name is Leini and I'm turning 24 this year. I've decided it is time for me to begin to make a positive impact on this World.
So, I'll be accepting financial donations to this fundraiser instead of presents for my birthday & Christmas this year!

I've been feeling like God has been pulling me in this direction for the last 6 months, and I finally decided to listen.

I've been feeling out of touch with the world lately. Kind of like I'm floating in a dream. I'm hoping this fundraising goal with help me get grounded and push me to strive to get things done so I can take the proceeds from them to donate to this as well.

You can either follow the link below, or use the widget app to the right of this post to donate!

Please check out my fundraiser!

Updates in response to comments:

After I finish a few client quilts, I'm definitely planning on making several quilts to raffle off. All of the proceeds will be getting directly donated into this fundraiser as well.

I'm also planning on making an Ian Somerhalder Foundation themed wall quilt to hopefully eventually be able to send to them.

Tags for fellow quilter...

A fellow quilter on Quilting Board put out a request on the forum. She was asking for any clothing labels that have been removed for a project she's working on.

Here's what I collected in just over 4 hours!!

102!!

Gentry the Gargoyle

Gentry the Gargoyle, made using the Otto the Ogre pattern by NimblePhish Patterns.

This was my 1st attempt at this pattern. His arms, legs, and head are safety jointed,
and he has blue safety eyes.

Back into Embroidery...

Lately I've been reading up on alot of embroidery & I LOVE the look of it!!

I recently misplaced my quilt labeling pen...So I've taken up a needle & embroidering floss to make up for it...

What are your opinions about either written quilt labels, embroidered ones, or both?

Comfort Quilt for toddler girl

These were made for a family friend's 3-year old toddler, to help comfort her after her mother & 5-year old sister were tragically killed by a drunk driver.

When I heard of this, I had to do something!

The bunny was made by my sister-in-law, the toddler quilt & bunny quilt were made by me.

Catching up makes me out of breath!!

For a while now, I've been QUITE lethargic and kinda just letting my life slide by.

I've been known to sign into Netflix and just watch 1/2 a season of a show...pausing to care for the kids, of course, but beyond that...nope.

I am finding that I get "burnt out" very easily & then feel overwhelmed when I try to start up again...

Example:

I started going through my craft room, packing (into a large plastic bin) anything that isn't a current project.

I'm hoping that by removing all the random fabrics and assorted randomness, I'll have a cleaner craft room to actually be able to use & stop abusing...

New embroidery share!!

I started this a few weeks ago...

I really enjoy the added dimension it gives the piece...I'll post more pics as I continue with more of the flowers on this fabric.
