My husband's grandma in currently recieving treatment for cancer, so I'm making her a comfort lap quilt.
Last night, I pieced this top, sandwiched, and machine-basted it, as well as marking quilting lines.

Quilting begins today, with purple variegated thread.
I love it. I have used this very same fabric in quilts for patients as well as my sister a quilt with pics of my mom after she passed. I love the thread and if I had a choice I would use varigated all the time.
